Creating and exploring video and sound material is no different, they want a professional feel with professional results. Mixing video in real-time has never been so easy and with a huge choice of effects never so much fun. Cinematrix 3.0 is a brilliant engaging piece of software.

Using Cinematrix for this project proved an entertaining and creative way to engage with science. As a complete novice in music and film, I was left feeling quite confident about using the software and most of its tools e.g. capturing video, audio tool and mixing. I am still really impressed with what we educators managed to create in less than an hour and I can see the use it will have in my classroom. CINEMATRIX is immediate, engaging and easy to use. I am keen to show it to my colleagues and for us to realise the potential it has in each of the subjects we teach. The only limitation to what we can do with CINEMATRIX is our own creativity and imagination.

We used CINEMATRIX in an English Literacy class teaching the children about Midsummer Nights Dream. Learning and using new vocabulary was made fun and exciting using this software as the children created music raps pertaining to the characters. It was absolutely fantastic and the kids got so much out of it. Also, some of the special needs children in the class were able to get really creative with new vocabulary and because they were working with funky music and images, this really appealed to them and seemed so natural for them to get to grips with. As a tool to encourage speaking and listening skills across the curriculum, I would definitely use CINEMATRIX again. We are now thinking about how we can use CINEMATRIX for sports day, and our pop idol talent show. We are even thinking about making a final music video mix to present to some teachers that are leaving us at the end of the year. It is really safe software to let the children go off and explore ideas on their own.
